FRANKFORT, Ky. (June 6, 2016) – Today Attorney General Andy Beshear announced the guilty plea of Christyna Little, 32, of Virgie, to one count of reckless adult abuse and neglect, a Class A misdemeanor.

Little pleaded guilty last week and was sentenced to 12 months and granted probation for 24 months.

“Abuse of any kind is unacceptable,” Beshear said. “One of the core missions of my office is to protect senior citizens from scams, abuse and exploitation – and to prosecute offenders to the fullest extent of the law.”

Beshear’s Office of Medicaid Fraud and Abuse investigated the matter and alleged that in September 2015, while working as a certified nursing assistant at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pikeville, Little was intoxicated and injured the arm of a nursing home resident.

Little was indicted by a Pike County grand jury in December.

Beshear said justice was served to the victim and applauded the joint effort of his Office of Medicaid Fraud and Abuse, the Department of Community Based Services and Pike County Commonwealth’s Attorney Rick Bartley.
